I posted earlier that under the mosaic law a woman when having her period, had to leave her home until it was over and could be declared clean. Why then does the watchtower not enforce this anymore? It's in the bible isn't it.? It is because it is no longer relevant in our times. Today, there are screening tests for impurities,and now as opposed to ancient times we know about things such as compatable blood types. Do you think god would be happy if someone died getting a transfusion? No, but It can equally be said that someone could die not getting one. As far as fractions are concerned they don't have any logical reason for this. As I stated earlier, if God said you must abstain from orange juice would you strain the pulp out and drink the juice anyways. The society knows they are wrong and the only reason they havn't made a complete reversal is because it's too late and too volatile an issue. The red cross does not want to be sued for a godzillion dollars and nor does the society. If I had to trust one or the other it would the red cross. The scriptures have to be veiwed in the times we live. We are not living in ancient times anymore. However if the situation is of such great concern it isn't really even an issue anymore as they have artificial blood substitutes such as fluosol. Further doctors have become quite adept at bloodless surgery.

although i find it extemely difficult to beleive the bible, i was wondering one night, what in fact, tartarus might be.

the witnesses beleive that satan and his minions, will be cast into what is described as a pit from which he cannot escape.

Imissed your earlier link but that was fascinating , It will probably take me a while to digest it though. So knowing all that from the link what is your conclusion on god , the universe and everything. How did you find al that out. Does it shake you a bit? You must be a great skeptic. I know greek orthodox however actually beleive in plenty of myths

Yup that's it. I wasn't sure of the spelling long time since I read about that. I think if more people knew about the origins of their beleifs.They would cease following them. But then again, look at the witness. They can easily check their origins and it's only been 130 years. What a convoluted mess of lies it seems man needs to sustain himself.

No kidding. Your name sounds Greek too. Interesting that this might have been borrowed by a bunch of jews sitting around a campfire telling lies. Have you ever heard of a term called mythra.I beleive It was a hellenic religion that preceeded christianity by 400 years and almost completly mirrors the basic tenents of the gospels. It was almost as if the Jews were so tired of getting hammered by the romans that they took the basics of that religion and adopted them with a few twists so the romans would leave them alone. When the first of the gospels were written that was almost 460 years after this religion. Plenty of time to forget about where the ideas came from. Not only that just take a look at the inconsistancies in the gospels.

They didn't know about different compatable blood types eitherin ancient days. We do now. Do you think the red cross would take a chance and get sued to oblivion. Further they say it's now ok to have blood fractions. Well guess what. What if god said you must abstain fron orange juice. Would strain the pulp out of the juice and say it's ok. It's silly! They know they are wrong and the only reason they are not making a complete turn around is beacuse it's too late and too volatile an issue.

Well I'm humble enough to take it back then. I'm sorry but it got me very defensive. Your comments in this light, have been very much appreciated. I think and hope we will talk in the future. Hello, I'd like to know, that you know what you are talking about. I'm actually flattered regardless of what you think, if that show matches what my thoughts were. You don't know me, sir. You are simply implying that I stole these ideas. Do you not think people are capable of coming up with the similar thoughts? Or is this just an ego issue with you? I do not mean to get confrontational, but you are not giving the benefit of the doubt. You are obviously an intelligent person yourself. I don't have a problem saying that, and I don't even know you.
